The cells sold at a lower price can only be ex drill battery pack cells which are not supported by A123 or cells purchased from A123 prior to 2007, making them 2-3yr old. To check if your cells are second hand ex-drill pack or scrap recycled packs cells, check the soldering tabs or lack there of for evidence of force or removal. Usually recycled cells (the most common A123 cell sold in China) have spot weld marks where the tabs were removed. Our cells are genuine, new and backed by a 12 month warranty.
